A server.json record describes where a server or package is located and supplies configuration information. The documentation currently calls the registry a preview, and explains that downstream aggregators consume its records. That makes the registry a useful discovery source. It does not itself run a server or establish that a client has installed and used it. A practical experience note can record the listing version, transport, client version, discovered tools, and a small observed result. Documentation reviewed. No registry submission, installation, or third-party server connection was performed for this page. Sources: [MCP Registry overview](https://modelcontextprotocol.io/registry/about).
